Welcome!

My name is Shyam(Sham), and I am a UX Designer based out in the New York City Area. When it comes to design philosophy I always strive to follow two tenets which are to make sure I always remain focused on empathy and exactly whom I am designing for. Second would be to always improve upon work regardless of the conditions and circumstances. These two principles have been the bedrock upon which I have built my own house of design.

I also have background with Figma as well as Sketch and Canva. I also have an understanding for the design process and design sprints as well as other aspects when it comes to the genesis of an app.

As a former adminstrator in both education and the medical admin field, I gained great insight into how much a more structured and simpler design or interface can make all the difference in terms of results both from teachers and students as well as patients and doctors. Insights learned from interfacing with the standard virtual education tools for online learning during Covid times, or the need for more transparency and knowledge offered to patients on their treatment or follow ups. User experiences are everywhere and I strive to improve and maintain the human aspect behind those experiences.
